Welcome Letter from Mrs. Redman, Principal

WELCOME TO THE NEW 2020-21 SCHOOL YEAR!

The North College Hill Elementary School Family is excited to welcome back our students and families for the 2021-2022 school year.  Our first day of school is Monday, August 16 and we realize that the beginning of a school year always brings nerves, excitement, anticipation, and anxiety, for our students, parents, staff, and our NCH community.

A new school year is full of introductions to new faces, and reconnections with old friends, all while meeting new teachers and remembering school expectations.  Our annual back to school picnic will take place August 11th,  5:00p-7:00p (6955 Grace Ave). Come out, meet the staff, and enjoy good company as we celebrate the start of a new year!

I am honored to be the Elementary School’s Principal beginning this 2021-2022 school year.  I look forward to working with our phenomenal staff, our parents, and community members in this new role. Most of all, I look forward to working with our students and continuing the outstanding work that has been implemented thus far at the ES.  I have been in education for 15 years: 12 years as a classroom teacher and 3 years as an administrator.

I encourage you to visit our school’s website, www.nchcityschools.org. This will serve as a resource tool for all upcoming  events, student/parent handbook, and important reminders. North College Hill City School District will provide school supplies for all students. There are certain items families will need to provide for their students such as a bookbag and an old T-shirt for art class.

It is with genuine excitement and anticipation that I look forward to a successful school year.  I hope you had a very relaxing and fun summer and we are eager to start this year off at full speed! As we prepare for the upcoming school year, I encourage everyone to set new goals, think big, and embrace new connections and experiences.

Sincerely,

Sheena Redman
